Unger's Farm Store Opens for the Season
The Season is upon us! The berries are ripe! The bees are buzzing! The sun is...... shinning? Not quite. But that doesn't stop us out here at Unger Farms. We are excited to announce that our Farm Store is opening June 1st with Albion Strawberries. Unfortunately, our June-bearing Hood Strawberries are not quite ripe enough, but give them a week and we'll all be basking in the juicy sweetness that, if you're like me, has your mouth watering just thinking about them.
The Albion Strawberries available this weekend are an ever-bearing variety, which means we will have them all summer long until about October. They are a large, firm berry with a wonderful aroma and a classic sweet flavor. Perfect for jams and freezing. Check our website for recipes and fun ideas on how to prepare them.
We hope you can stop by the Farm Store this weekend:
Friday - Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Thanks Mrs. Durbin! I have some fun things planned so hopefully you enjoy this blog!
ReplyDeleteBy this time, surely you can call me Kristen!
ReplyDelete(Except that now I will point out that your blog title should have an apostrophe in "Farmer's" ... unless you somehow have multiple dads!)
Thanks, Kristen! I will try to call you that! :) Yes, I know it should have an apostrophe... I just don't like apostrophe's and think it looks 'cleaner' without one. But, if another person mentions it I might just need to change it. Thanks for catching it tho!
