Local Love: Tri-County Farms

This is a little more broad for the Local Love Thursday I will be doing but it is an incredibly important organization to talk about and I feel this is perfect for the first post of many highlighting my favorite places in Oregon.

Tri-County Farms is a Non-Profit Organization that puts out a guide of farms in the Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties that have u-pick or that sell directly from their farm.  If you haven't yet utilized this guide you should check it out HERE.

Here's what you can find through Tri-County Farms:

Need to find a U-Pick farm?
Looking for farm fresh eggs?
Want to find a farm with a pumpkin patch and activities?
The search option on the website is priceless, you can search by county, by farm name, by produce, by city... it's so great!

Maybe you want to plan a trip to the coast, and you might like to stop by a few farms on the way? Pick up some snacks? The printed guide has a map with all the farm locations so you can easily plan your trip!

The BEST and most INCREDIBLE option Tri-County Farms has.... You can subscribe to receive emails STRAIGHT FROM THE FARMERS!  I can't tell you how many customers Unger Farms has gotten because we have sent out email blasts through Tri-County.  It is so wonderful as a customer to be able to see updates from the farm, deals going on, and events coming up!  It is pure genius! Following farms on Facebook is a wonderful thing, but I find it easy to miss posts and updates, this is a great way to have the updates in my inbox where I can't miss them.

Speaking of Facebook: Tri-County Farms is also on facebook! They give updates on what is in season as well as re-post items from the member farms... Like their page HERE.

I just can't say enough wonderful things about this organization.  They have provided so many great outlets for farms to get their message out and to get more customers to visit them.  And Tri-County has been around for about 38 years! Wow!

Have you used Tri-County Farms' resources in the past?
